Wonderful experience! We were looking for somewhere to lunch that was also dog-friendly on a rainy day, and were all made so welcome by the lovely waitress. Sitting on the undercover back deck overlooking the water, we had a delicious seafood lunch - tasting platter of Sicilian baked garfish topped with a pine nut crumble, sumac and lemon baby octopus and sesame coated prawns with zingy lime ginger and soy dressing, and a seafood spaghetti laden with fish and shellfish in a well-balanced sauce. All so fresh and tasty, the chef has a deft touch. Sweet potato fries and mugs of hot chocolate and chai latte were great accompaniments on this rather cool day.
We enjoyed it so much, we had 2 more dishes from their menu for dinner - this time as a 'take-away'; rather unusual for a higher-end restaurant but the staff here are so professional and accommodating. Baked Tasmanian trumpeter and steak sandwich went down a treat.
A seafood restaurant on the wharf in a small town can often be a cliche, rip-off tourist trap, but Wildfish is a gem - the complete package of great location, food and service, and reasonably priced, especially for the quality.
I love this place so much! Definitely a more formal place to go for lunch or tea. The menu is very well crafted and cater to everyone's needs. A very extensive beverage list and amazing deserts. Also a great place to have a function or gathering and my number one pick for date night in the area.
We went to the Wildfish on search of some nice seafood, we were not disappointed. We had the baby octopus, the oysters and the Moreton Bay Bugs. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly and delicious. We will be comming back again 100%worth the drive.
